Republicans unhappy with their own party link here

The poll asked both self-described Democrats and Republicans — including "leaners" — if they think their own parties are taking things in the right or wrong direction. Democrats approved of their party's direction, with 72% saying leadership was taking the party in the right direction to just 21% who said it was taking things in the wrong direction.

But Republicans largely disapprove of their own party's leadership, as has been the case for quite some time now. Just 37% of self-identified Republicans and Republican "leaners" say leadership is taking the party in the right direction. Meanwhile, 52% say it's taking things in the wrong direction.

That's a big change from last August, when Republicans approved of their leadership by a 58-32 margin.

SYG Titusville Case

Stand Your Ground claim-----Titusville, Florida, Brevard County, September 3, 2012

I first learned about this particular Stand Your Ground case on Twitter from Stacie Mc-Whitaker, cousin of victim Gary Hembree who was killed. (@StacieMcWhitake  AND @SygTriggers) also Gary's sister Christina Cipollone @Crissie79 and Gary's Mother Jeanie Huppert @Jeanie_Meother)

All information is linked to its source, or I state that I got information undocumented from Stacie.

Shooter William Woodward

VICTIMS Gary Lee Hembree, Roger Picior and Bruce Timothy Blake

If Woodward wins at the pretrial stand your ground hearing, there will be no trial for first-degree murder.  He will not be prosecuted and will be released from jail.   page 2 end of article

William Woodward ""snuck up on a Labor Day barbecue and opened fire at about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 3, 2012. Police arrived and found VICTIMS Gary Lee Hembree, Roger Picior and Bruce Timothy Blake all had been shot. Hembree and Picior died of their injuries. Blake, who was hit 11 times, survived.  The motion filed by Woodward’s attorneys says in the hours prior to the shooting, all three men were yelling at Woodward and that this type of behavior had been ongoing for over a month."" link

Woodward's own security camera captured the shots. link

VIDEO News Story Woodward faces judge link

William Woodward is a veteran and is the 44-year-old brother of Titusville fire Chief Michael Woodward. link

Stacie tells me his father is a retired Brevard County Sheriff, and his sister-in-law is the personal assistant to the chief of police.

Woodward had been the target of a variety of threats and “exercised his right under Florida law to defend himself and his family that night.” link

"We have a pattern of behavior of constant threats to Mr. Woodward and his family, some of them quite graphic, and including threats to sodomize and rape his 12-year-old daughter," said Woodward's lawyer, Greg Eisenmenger   link

Things escalated to gunfire just after midnight Monday -- Hembree's ex-wife says Woodward accused their daughter of stealing some items from his carport.  Police say they have responded to disputes between the suspect and victim several times, even offering a neutral site for discussion at the police department. The disputes even landed them in court, but no injuctions were given to either party. link

(OK so how exactly is an accusation of theft become Stand Your Ground?? Answer?? THE BUSH DOCTRINE!!!)

Stand Your Ground becomes Bush Doctrine (preemptive strike)
It cited the "Bush Doctrine" to justify Woodward's response to the perceived threats, referring to George W. Bush's concept of waging pre-emptive war against potential threats before they metastasize into imminent threats.  “I think legally that term has sort of been evolving especially given changes of our government’s definition of ‘imminent,’” Robert Berry, one of the attorneys representing Woodward, told Florida Today. “It’s become more expansive than someone putting a gun right to your head. It’s things that could become, you know, an immediate threat.”   link

The stand your ground motion Woodward's attorneys filed in court says Woodward didn't have to wait for anyone to point a gun at him. In fact, the motion quotes United States policy in killing international terrorists, saying, in effect, if the U.S. can kill terrorists with drones, Woodward can shoot his plotting, threatening neighbors.
The motion will force a judge or jury to decide whether Woodward stood his ground.  link

The documents describe how investigators said Woodward went into full military mode while carrying out the attack.
According to documents, Woodward fired 31 rounds. WFTV learned there is surveillance video that shows Woodward crawling on his belly to the first neighbor's house. In the video, a victim can be heard calling Woodward a "plastic G.I. Joe" before he was shot.
Woodward told police after the shooting he considered himself on a "mission" and that he was in "a war zone," according to documents.  link

STAND YOUR GROUND HEARING----Attorney asks JURY not JUDGE to rule on SYG
Sept 25th Stand Your Ground Hearing in Woodward Case link here
Woodward's Attorney argued in court today that a jury should decide whether his client's charges should be dismissed under Florida's Stand Your Ground law. Judge Morgan Reinman said she would decide on or before November 20, but Woodward's attorney anticipated that her decision would be appealed either way.

Woodward’s attorneys had filed a motion saying he had been the target of a variety of threats and “exercised his right under Florida law to defend himself and his family that night.”

Friends and Family Protest Stand Your Ground Claim link here
Friends and family of Gary Hembree protested outside the Brevard County Courthouse, waving signs and calling for justice Wednesday.

The protests came before a hearing for William Woodward, who is seeking a "stand your ground" hearing.
"It's awful, it's awful... The family's not the same without Gary," Hembree's mother Dorothy Huppert said.

"It's beyond craziness now… I don't get it," Blake said.

Blake said he's angry Woodward's attorney is looking for a "stand your ground" hearing.

Woodward's attorney doesn't want a typical "stand your ground" hearing with the judge ruling. He wants a separate trial with jurors deciding if he should stand trial for the shootings.

Quote from Stacie Mc-Whitaker, cousin of victim Gary Hembree "How can you be standing your ground when you're crawling on your belly."

@SYGTriggers Stands for SYG T.R.I.G.G.E.R.S. (Threatens to Redefine Imminence, and GAIN Ground w/the Evolution of Rights and Safety)

Stacie says ""SYG triggers fear and anger. SYG triggers violence & retaliation""

Stacie also says that William Woodward claimed PTSD but fell off a ladder in Japan and never served outside the wire---he was a file clerk---I have found no supporting documentation at this time---I will update when I have more information.

Attorney General Eric Holder on Stand Your Ground at NAACP 2013 link VIDEO here

Separate and apart from the case that has drawn the nation’s attention, it’s time to
question laws that senselessly expand the concept of self-defense and sow dangerous conflict in
our neighborhoods. These laws try to fix something that was never broken. There has always
been a legal defense for using deadly force if – and the “if” is important – no safe retreat is
available.
But we must examine laws that take this further by eliminating the common sense and
age-old requirement that people who feel threatened have a duty to retreat, outside their home, if
they can do so safely. By allowing and perhaps encouraging violent situations to escalate in
public, such laws undermine public safety. The list of resulting tragedies is long and –
unfortunately – has victimized too many who are innocent. It is our collective obligation – we
must stand our ground – to ensure that our laws reduce violence, and take a hard look at laws that
contribute to more violence than they prevent.

Now Discussing Fort Sumter---who provoked who??

Wikipedia
A crisis similar to the one at Fort Sumter had emerged at Pensacola, Florida, where Confederates threatened another U.S. fortification—Fort Pickens. Lincoln and his new cabinet struggled with the decisions of whether to reinforce the forts, and how. They were also concerned about whether to take actions that might start open hostilities and which side would be perceived as the aggressor as a result. Similar discussions and concerns were occurring in the Confederacy.

History
In December 1860, the fort was 90 percent complete, but construction stopped—never to be resumed—once South Carolina passed the Ordinance of Secession.

Fort Moultrie was one of three active federal fortifications in Charleston Harbor, each with different challenges.

The unfinished Fort Sumter was the most important of the three—a fact not lost on Anderson. In a December 9, 1860, report from Fort Moultrie, he wrote, “Fort Sumter is a tempting prize, the value of which is well known to the Charlestonians, and once in their possession, with its ammunition and armament and walls uninjured and garrisoned properly, it would set our Navy at defiance, compel me to abandon this work, and give them the perfect command of this harbor.”

Two days later, Maj. Don Carlos Buell delivered verbal instructions from Secretary of War John B. Floyd to Anderson, stating that “an attack on or attempt to take possession of any one of them [the forts] will be regarded as an act of hostility, and you may then put your command into either of them which you may deem most proper to increase its power of resistance.” Prompted by South Carolina’s secession on December 20, the commencement of state patrol boats operating between Forts Sumter and Moultrie, the size of his garrison and the growing threat of hostile action, Anderson transferred his command to Fort Sumter on the night of December 26, 1860.

Anderson was informed that Fort Sumter would be fired upon beginning at 4:30 a.m. on April 12.

The Confederacy had achieved its objective: Fort Sumter was taken.

Don't Know Much about the Civil War pg 162
Lincoln's inaugural address promised that the govt would not start a war and that no attempt would be made to retake federal facilities already held by Confederate Forces (Ft Sumter was not ""already held"")
Lincoln also declared that he would ""hold, occupy and possess"" installations still under federal control in the Confederacy (Ft Sumter WOULD apply, and a resupply would in my opinion SHOULD not have been seen as a provocation)
Beyond that Lincoln made no threats.

The day after his inauguration Major Robert Anderson reported that there were less than 6 weeks of supplies at Fort Sumter.
The Fort was being built as a response to the War of 1812 which showed the inadequacy of America's coastal defenses.
President Buchanan (1857-1861) had no response to previous attacks and seizures by South Carolina after Secession, and also pledged not to reinforce Fort Pickens in Florida for an agreement not to attack it. But he also refused to remove federal troops from Sumter.
When South Carolina seceded there were 3 forts, seen as a symbol of ""foreign authority"" and Major Anderson abandoned the other 2 forts.
South Carolina seized the 2 forts as well as the customhouse, post office, treasury, and an arsenal.
South Carolina fired on The Star of the West an unarmed steamer coming into the harbor with supplies for the fort.
Given the choices of evacuation or resupply or reinforcement, Lincoln chose a middle ground, resupplying the fort but not reinforcing it militarily, and he let South Carolina Governor Pickens know the supplies were coming, and let the Governor know on April 8, the fort was attacked April 12th 4:30am.

Video---Bachmann, King and Gohmert in Egypt

GUYS LEARN THE TRUTH PLEASE!!!! link

Speech from Michelle Bachmann, Steve King and Louis Gohmert

NY Times article here
Washington Post article here

Wait your from the United States Congress, in the United States of America?? I would have never guessed that!!!

Nothing like deregulation to get an economy going am I right??

Or

Laws are bad for the economy!!

No we did not go through this together……shame on you for even implying that

NO!!! muslim brotherhood DID NOT attack us in 9/11 and no, there is no muslim brotherhood in US government!!!

(A clarification for those who are interested---Ayman Al-Zawahri is Egyptian, and he is a terrorist, he was part of the group that assassinated Anwar Al Sadat in 1981 for signing the peace treaty with Israel in 1979----he later formed Al Qaeda with Bin Laden who is Saudi Arabian, and 9/11 was attacking the US—Saudi alliance---15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi, and Mohamed Atta was Egyptian)

Ayman al-Zawahiri participated in Youth activism as a student. He became both quite pious and political, under the influence of his uncle Mahfouz Azzam, and lecturer Mostafa Kamel Wasfi.[18] Sayyid Qutb preached that to restore Islam and free Muslims, a vanguard of true Muslims modeling itself after the original Companions of the Prophet had to be developed.[19]
By the age of 14, al-Zawahiri had joined the Muslim Brotherhood. The following year the Egyptian government executed Qutb for conspiracy, and al-Zawahiri, along with four other secondary school students, helped form an "underground cell devoted to overthrowing the government and establishing an Islamist state." It was at this early age that al-Zawahiri developed a mission in life, "to put Qutb's vision into action."[20] His cell eventually merged with others to form al-Jihad or Egyptian Islamic Jihad.[14]

In 1998, al-Zawahiri formally merged the Egyptian Islamic Jihad into al-Qaeda. According to reports by a former al-Qaeda member, he has worked in the al-Qaeda organization since its inception and was a senior member of the group's shura council. He was often described as a "lieutenant" to Osama bin Laden, though bin Laden's chosen biographer has referred to him as the "real brains" of al-Qaeda.[48]
On February 23, 1998, al-Zawahiri issued a joint fatwa with Osama bin Laden under the title "World Islamic Front Against Jews and Crusaders". Zawahiri, not bin Laden, is thought to have been the actual author of the fatwa.[51]

After coming to Hamburg in 1992, Atta became more religious, frequently attending the mosque.[33] Atta's friends in Germany described him as an intelligent man with religious beliefs, along with political motivations, including anger at U.S. policy toward the Middle East, particularly the Oslo Accords and the Gulf War.[34][35] Atta was also enraged by Egypt's ruling elite, and the Egyptian government's crackdown on Muslim Brotherhood members.   (BUT NOTE that it doesnt say Atta was ever member of Muslim Brotherhood)

The people Do NOT want military support from US!!!

Menace on the border?? Its internal to Egypt!!! Muslim brotherhood is not outside Egypt

3,000 Americans did not die, they were citizens of many countries not all Americans

I guess you guys aren’t the ones pressuring obama to call this a coup are you???

Muslim brotherhood are the oppressed!!! Its not the other guys taking their country back!!! THEY were in power for 80 years!!!

We stand for democracy!!! We don’t stand against muslim brotherhood!!! Only when Morsi acts like a dictator no better than Mubarak!!!

Numerous leaders = THE ARMY!!!

Yes Washington led a military----and then we gave military CIVILIAN CONTROL!!!

He was our first president he didn’t resign and go home!!!

No Thomas Paine was not a founder (well technically, he is listed as other founders http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Founding_Fathers_of_the_United_States#Other_founders)

No caliphate that’s Al Qaeda---Muslim Brotherhood is nationalist they want democracy to rule their own country

Muslim Brotherhood Ayman Noor ran in 2006 Muslim Brotherhood is NOT “”rammed through”” they’ve been political party for 80 years, banned and organizing underground

Yes I have a question “”how are you so dumb???””

Yes differences of opinions and some make up their own facts

It was a coup!!! Yes it was supported by the people, but it was still a military takeover

A COUP IS a sudden, violent (or non-violent), and illegal seizure of power from a government.

Id love to know what the host is saying…….
