On his program Wednesday June 12, 2013 he showed the story
of the grandmother who defended herself against an intruder with her
gun---Piers said “”this is what the 2nd amendment is for---for
people to defend themselves””
No—it was NOT written for an individual right to own guns
for self defense---OR as NRA and pro gun lobbies say “”to defend against govt
tyranny”” either.
The 2nd Amendment was SIMPLY creating a reserve
army of Americans who would defend America and the states from external
invasion and internal insurrections----essentially an internal police force or
military, but without a standing army which the Founders feared because of
their experiences with English rule and their history as Englishmen.

THIS IS THE CENTRAL QUESTION---REAL Liberty or REAL Tyranny
and understanding the difference. It is
SO CRUCIAL to understand the difference----
The NSA story has exposed the true question of the size and
role of government that liberals and conservatives NEED to agree on---not
healthcare, welfare, business regulations, IRS looking at tax exempt
organizations etc. BUT OUR CIVIL LIBERTIES
The question is about national security, terrorism and the
Constitution and our civil liberties as essential.
I always write that “”everyone needs to be healthy wealthy
safe and free---but liberals and conservatives only disagree on role of
government”” as in business regulation, welfare, food stamps and now obamacare
etc
But that is NOT the major issue---the major issue is how
govt treats its citizens----is it a govt OF BY AND FOR the people, or does govt
abuse its power and intrude on the civil liberties defined in the
Constitution???
We FOUNDED this country by declaring independence from a
tyrannical leader, his crimes defined in the Declaration of Independence---and
we established a government with protections in order to prevent tyranny from
happening again (sections of the Declaration and Constitution are below)
Collecting taxes and establishing
business regulations (and health insurance regulations) ARE NOT EXAMPLES OF
TYRANNY!!! Tyrants do not care about the welfare of their citizens---they
care about power and keeping power---so they label dissidents as terrorists,
they spy on them and jail them and kill them.
This is the issue that is putting Democrats against
Democrats, while other Democrats arelining up with GOP and Libertarians,
fighting the real fight over liberty vs the need for security---we have the 4th
amendment to protect AMERICANS against “”unreasonable searches and seizures and
searches without probable cause.””
THIS is the fight of our democracy and our values. We can have freedom and security—but we
CANNOT have 100% security or 99% liberty---giving up our liberty is not a
choice---and nothing can ever keep us 100% safe.

GROSS: I've been focusing on the Hoover era of the FBI, but
your book goes past that. And just a couple of questions, one or two questions
about the George W. Bush era. You talk about some of the boundaries that were
crossed in terms of getting intelligence. What do you see as the biggest transgression
of the law in how the Bush administration tried to work with the FBI to gather
intelligence on Americans?
WEINER: There is an incredibly dramatic moment in 2004 where
the head of the FBI, Robert Mueller - Robert S. Mueller III, or Bobby
"Three Sticks," as his agents call him - who took office, let's
remember, a week before 9/11, confronts the president of the United States in
the Oval Office over the White House's secret eavesdropping program that has
transgressed its boundaries and overstepped the law and the Constitution.
Through its data mining tactics, through its eavesdropping
technologies, they've gone beyond what even the secret court that oversees
eavesdropping will authorize. They're going to get in trouble - deep, deep
trouble. And Mueller tells the president, in the Oval Office, face to face,
with a handwritten letter of resignation in his breast pocket that either the
program is curtailed and brought within the law or he, the head of the FBI,
will resign, as will the entire command structure of the Justice Department,
from the attorney general down.
And President Bush says, according to his memoirs: What are
you talking about? What program? What problems? What legal issues? And Mueller
looks at him with a very steely gaze and says: I think you know what we're
talking about, Mr. President. And at that point, it's a crime to lie to the
FBI. It's punishable by five years in prison. And that's where we were.
We were - the president had chalks on his spikes at that
moment. He was at the line, and about to cross it. And he says, Bush says in
his memoir: Visions of the Saturday night massacre during Watergate dance in
his head when, you know, two attorneys general and the command structure of the
FBI resigned rather than cover up for the president.
Mueller wins. Bush eventually backs down, and that is a
triumph of the rule of law. And that's what the FBI does and should stand for.
The great dilemma for Mueller and for the American people is: How do you do
secret intelligence operations within the rule of law? Secret intelligence
operations require stealing other people's secrets, breaking into their houses,
tapping their telephones, reading their email.
How do you do that within the rule of law? We've got a
secret court set up in this country called the Foreign Intelligence
Surveillance Court that meets in secret at the top of the Justice Department's
roof. And they were set up to authorize this kind of thing after Watergate. You
either work with the rule of law - if you don't, and if you're protecting
American national security in the country and you lose your freedoms in the
process, you fight the war on terror and you lose your freedoms, you've lost.

When you teach a man to hate and fear his brother, when you teach that he is a lesser man because of his color or his beliefs or the policies he pursues, when you teach that those who differ from you threaten your freedom or your job or your family, then you also learn to confront others not as fellow citizens but as enemies, to be met not with cooperation but with conquest; to be subjugated and mastered.
We learn, at the last, to look at our brothers as aliens, men with whom we share a city, but not a community; men bound to us in common dwelling, but not in common effort. We learn to share only a common fear, only a common desire to retreat from each other, only a common impulse to meet disagreement with force.

So the movie started talking about Hitler----I thought it
was about abortion (turns out, it is about abortion)
So kids on the street don’t know who Hitler is….not too
shocking to me….many kids don’t pay attention in school, and Jay Leno does his
“”Jaywalking”” segment asking who is Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama etc and no
one knows either----kids follow their friends and celebrities like the
Kardashians etc----sad but true.
Also Ray Comfort (the filmmaker and interviewer) says he is Jewish---I
say “”says”” because technically anyone who believes in Jesus as anything other
than a man, such as Son of G-d or the Messiah, is a Christian and not a Jew.
I am THRILLED to hear him mention and discuss Hitler’s
HATRED of Christianity, the 10 Commandments, etc as a “”Jewish
trick””----Hitler hated the “”life denying”” 10 commandments (I know this from
Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, “”Jewish Literacy””)
So he gets the Holocaust and Hitler
right----absolutely----but then he compares it to abortion----this is wrong.
Murder is one person taking the life of another-----either
premeditated, as in murder, thus the commandment Thou shall not kill, as in
murder someone.
This is different than manslaughter or self
defense----because life is so holy self defense is crucial and legal in Jewish
law and modern international law.

19 discusses setting up 3 “”cities of refuge”” for those who commit
accidental death, accidents that leads to death, to flee safely from
retribution.
Leviticus 27:17 a
man who mortally strikes any human life shall be put to death (rabbis always
saw this as monetary compensation, never truly “”eye for an eye”” literally).
Exodus 21:12 one
who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death, but for one who
had not lain in ambush and G-d caused him to come to his hand, I shall provide
you a place to which to flee.
Now back to the movie----so it opens with Hitler and the
Holocaust---the interviews could easily be edited---how many did he interview??
How many knew who Hitler was?? How many DIDN’T change their views on abortion??
Doesn’t change the film much, just always something to think about with ANY
news source, film or article etc.
Ok so Ray goes from “”how evil was Hitler”” to “”would you
shoot him”” the answer is yes I would shoot him----in war after 1939---it would
be killed in action----
BUT when you ask “”would you kill Hitler in his mother’s
womb, that is wrong---not because abortion is wrong----but only because you
don’t kill people or arrest them before they commit crimes----you cannot do
anything before they commit crimes.
Same with the person who says he would have killed Hitler’s
whole family-----no one can be killed or arrested due to other’s crimes
Also the use of comparison of the holocaust and abortion is
PROPAGANDA, Ray talks primarily to kids,
college age kids, but still kids, comparing abortion to the holocaust, using
propaganda, the same as Hitler did, using kids and propaganda and making false
comparisons to make a point.
It is also similar techniques used by pollsters asking poll
questions----how you answer depends on what question is asked and how the
question is worded----as in “”its ok to kill a baby in a womb when…..””
The kids answer “”well when you put it like that of course
it makes sense””
The fact that he can talk about Hitler, abortion, sin,
heaven and hell so completely only shows his skill with words and
persuasion----he is pushing Christian theology to people who didn’t know who
Hitler was.
Heck he even got a Neo Nazi to accept Jesus----this guy is
GOOD LOL
Then of course this “”Jew”” Ray Comfort tells these kids that
they have all sinned, and that the only way to get rid of sin is to follow
Jesus.
Jewish law says there is no original sin, hell, or any
missed chances to repent-----everyone goes to heaven, and everyone is a sinner
and everyone ALWAYS has the chance to repent to G-d---even at the last minute
of death.
Abortion is a women’s choice, same as whether to have kids
at all, or get married at all---choices are LIBERTY and in America liberty is
the law---freedom to do things or not.
Personal choice is key to liberty---drinking alcohol is
legal, but I choose not to drink, others can choose to do so etc. Abortion is LEGAL up to 24 weeks in the womb---after
that unless mother’s life is in danger it is ILLEGAL to perform abortion,
because viability, the ability to live outside the womb CHANGES the status of
the baby.

Gay marriage should be legal FOR THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO MARRY,
but being gay is not a choice, same as being born male, short, hair color
etc---
I am pro choice, but am against abortion in most cases---but
I cannot say with 100% certainty that my wife will never have an
abortion----too many things can happen to children in the womb, birth defects
etc, ectopic pregnancy etc to say anything with certainty other then I am pro
choice.
